چکیده
Ring-structured DNA and RNA exhibit a variety of unique features in chemistry, biology, medicine, material science, so on, which cannot be accomplished by their non-cyclic counterparts. In this review, both naturally occurring DNA/RNA rings artificially synthesized ones have been comprehensively covered, mainly to bridge these two growing fields. the first part, structures functions (extrachromosomal circular DNA, circulating cell-free DNAs, cyclic RNAs, others) are described. Their roles as biomarkers for disease diagnosis especially noteworthy. Structured ring spectra and displays
We combine Lurie’s generalization of the Hopkins–Miller theorem with work of Zink–Lau on displays to give a functorial construction of even-periodic E1 ring spectra E , concentrated in chromatic layers 2 and above, associated to certain n n invertible matrices with coefficients in the Witt ring of 0.E/ . This is applied to examples related to Lubin–Tate and Johnson–Wilson spectra. We also give ...
متن کاملSynthesis of Au2S and Au2S3 Using H2S, Short-Chain and Ring-Structured Sulfur as Sulfur Sources
To determine which of the two known gold sulfides (containing either monoor trivalent gold) are formed by reacting trivalent gold with differnt allotropes o f sulfur, experiments were made using three different sources of sulfur. When trivalent gold in the form of A u 2 ( S 0 4 ) 3 in concen trated acid is reacted with electrolytically formed short-chain sulfur, monovalent gold sulfide (A u 2S...
متن کاملHuman Dmc1 protein binds DNA as an octameric ring.
The bacterial RecA protein has been the most intensively studied enzyme in homologous genetic recombination. The core of RecA is structurally homologous to that of the F1-ATPase and helicases. Like the F1-ATPase and ring helicases, RecA forms a hexameric ring. The human Dmc1 (hDmc1) protein, a meiosis-specific recombinase, is homologous to RecA. We show that hDmc1 forms octameric rings. Unlike ...
متن کاملTriggering of RNA Interference with RNA–RNA, RNA–DNA, and DNA–RNA Nanoparticles
Control over cellular delivery of different functionalities and their synchronized activation is a challenging task. We report several RNA and RNA/DNA-based nanoparticles designed to conditionally activate the RNA interference in various human cells. These nanoparticles allow precise control over their formulation, stability in blood serum, and activation of multiple functionalities. Importantl...
متن کاملSmith Ideals of Structured Ring Spectra
Pursuing ideas of Jeff Smith, we develop a homotopy theory of ideals of monoids in a symmetric monoidal model category. This includes Smith ideals of structured ring spectra and of differential graded algebras. Such Smith ideals are NOT subobjects, and as a result the theory seems to require us to consider all Smith ideals of all monoids simultaneously, rather then restricting to the Smith idea...
